Interview, Hawke's Bay, & Tangle of Need

Hey everyone! Hope you had a great weekend and the week's getting off to a good start.

First up, I have an interview up at the Book Pushers today, talking about the Guild Hunter series.

Also, a reminder about my appearance March 1st at the Flaxmere Library for those of you in the lower North Island.

I'm shifting focus from Archangel's Storm to Tangle of Need today as the typeset pages have just landed. This is the final time an author sees the book before publication - time to catch any sneaky typos or other errors that might have slipped in. Plus, it's a chance to read the book again!

And last but definitely not least, only one more day to go until Angels' Flight hits the stores!

I've just ordered my copy of Angel's Flight on Amazon...just CAN'T WAIT!!!! Lucky me that I'm able to read in English without problems, because I would go crazy if I couldn't read them...
By the way, if I can give my humble opinion of Literature and Translation student, the Italian translation of "Archangel's Kiss" is totally disappointing...I think you should write to the Italian editor, because "Angel's blood" was soooo beautifully translated, and I loved it. I can't understand why they changed translator, but this new one made TRAGIC MISTAKES, like calling Dahariel and Nazarach archangels, while they're just ANGELS!!! And this happens more than once, so is not a printing mistake or something...it's just inaccuracy!!!
This is just one and the biggest of the mistakes I've noticed, but I don't want to annoy you or the other readers. I was just so disappointed, because I love your style and stories, and I hate that they've been ruined by a bad translation.
So, to end this tragically long comment, just KEEP ON WRITING YOUR BEAUTIFUL STORIES, I LOVE THEM!!! And I'll just read them in English! ^_^

Hi Nalini,
First of all I loved the interview. It has made me even more excited. And I got my copy of Angels' Flight yesterday and finished it at 2am which means I am very tired today! I loved the gorgeous cover. And my favourite story was definitely Angles Dance.Loved the Aodhan bit.

Just read Angels’ Dance, and awww... So, so sweet XD Of course, I love all four novellas, but I've read all the others more than ten times already lol

And goddammit, Aodhan was still fine (and incredibly sweet) 400 years ago?! I'm already thinking up all kinds of torture for the one(s) that hurt him - sticking hot pokers into their eyes, pouring molten lead down their throats, peeling the skin off their bones...

Also, a question - in Angels’ Dance, it's stated that an angel is considered an adult once they reach a hundred years of age. Yet in Angels’ Wolf, Nimra says that she was a "very young woman" when she was two hundred years old, and did not engage in a romantic relationship with Eitriel until she was four hundred and ninety, "when such a relationship was permissible". Can you clarify this, please?

Thanks for the comments on Angels' Flight everyone!!

@Catherine - welcome!

@Cristy - I'll pass the message on to my Italian publisher. Thanks for the info.

Next answer is a bit spoilery so look away if you haven't read the anthology!

@luthienlinwelin - Being a 100 is sort of like being 18 in human terms. So you're considered an adult, but only just. (And just like humans, some angels are very mature at 100, while others are still kids. But in general terms, they're considered fledglings at 100).

With Eitriel and Nimra, the problem/issue, of course was that he was effectively her teacher. They had to put enough distance (immortal-time wise) from that, before they could get into a relationship without attracting censure. ie. Everyone had to believe Nimra was old enough to not still be under the spell of that old relationship. (If he hadn't been her teacher, then the dynamics would've changed and such a long wait wouldn't have been necessary).

Loved Jessamy and Galen (also loved the others, esp. AW, but I've read them before)!
Bit of a spoiler, maybe? I always thought Elena gave Ilium his nickname (it's just how it stayed in my head)so I was sooo surprised to see Ilium called Bluebell 400 ys before Elena! I'll have to go back and see...
